Join Tanisha Mitchell as she explores the comic opera The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini. The opera centers on the quirky and famous barber who helps his former boss, Count Almaviva capture Rosina’s heart through funny schemes. Ms. Mitchell will explore how Rossini was the master of comedy through his ingenious music making. In addition, Tanisha will perform a live aria as part of the program. Named a "Mover and Shaker" by Library Journal, Tanisha Mitchell is best known for her innovative work in the arts at the Metropolitan Opera and the Freeport Memorial Library.
