Join Reno Bracchi, longtime blues musician and aficionado, for Part Two of “Origins of the Blues: A Uniquely American Music”, as he explores how the electric guitar played a crucial role in shaping “the electric blues”, an exciting and very different sound!  Muddy Waters and B.B. King are among the prominent artists who fully embraced the electric guitar and thrived after doing so.  You will also hear examples of how blues became ubiquitous in jazz, rhythm and blues and rock and roll.  Once again, live musical performances, archival photos and authentic blues recordings are all part of the show!

This program is part of the Library's celebration of Black History Month during the month of February.
