Program Description

Event Details

Join Professor Ron Brown as he continues his series about famous New Yorkers with an exploration of the life and legacy of Robert Moses.  For centuries New York was a horse city. The narrow meandering streets of lower Manhattan reflect this history. With the invention of the automobile this horse city had to evolve.  Robert Moses was the man of the hour. Parkways, expressways, tunnels and bridges dragged the city into the new age, the age of the automobile.
