Please join us for a series of Chair Yoga classes with certified instructor Beth Lipset. Free to Port Washington residents. Classes start on September 8 and run through December 15 (with no class on October 13).

This reading group, facilitated by Dr. Laury Magnus, Professor of English, will feature great classic works -- ancient to contemporary -- as well as participatory reading out loud of selected passages. 

Move through poses to increase flexibility, balance, strength, and range of motion. Marlene Kirsh, athletic trainer and certified Pilates instructor, will lead the sessions. Chairs will be available, if needed.

Join fellow readers for a poetry discussion led by Nassau County Poet Laureate Paula Curci.

Drop in and play a game of Scrabble. No registration required. 

FOL University, the Friends of the Library’s scholarly lecture series, will feature Dava Sobel, one of America’s preeminent science writers and Pulitzer Prize finalist for Galileo’s Daughter.

Karl Blessing and Chris Ivers come from wildly divergent, yet closely related, musical scenes, though both are steeped in the music of Bob Dylan and The Band.

A series of exercise classes incorporating yoga, Pilates, and stretching led by athletic trainer and certified Pilates instructor Marlene Kirsh. Open to Port Washington residents free of charge.

Bring your embroidery, crochet, quilting, or sewing project to this weekly gathering. Share ideas with fellow crafters, and get inspired from our collection of pattern and instruction books, generously provided by the Friends of the Library.

Using the library sublimation printer and Canva, come to the library to design your own decorative towel.
