Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a free program from NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island that uses the principles and slow, gentle movements of Tai Chi to help older adults improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities. This evidence-based program is proven to reduce falls, improve fitness, and is designed for older adults who are interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength.
Classes are led by a trained/certified instructor for 60 minutes for 16 weeks. Participants will learn: Balance Skills, Proper Body Alignment, & Coordinated Tai Chi movements
No class on Feb. 20, Mar 27, April 17, or May 1.
Priority is given to Port Washington residents, and to 'first time registrants' within that group. Registration is closed.
