A lap-sit story time with songs, music and bouncing rhymes that emphasizes early literacy skills.  For children ages birth to 17 months. Admittance is on a first-come, first-served basis for 24 participants.

The St. Francis Outreach Bus will be in the Library parking lot from 10 am -- 2 pm. 

Health screenings include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure check and simple blood tests.

Homework Help for Elementary school children

"Gina on the Go" Mobile Office Hours with Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti

Is your child struggling with their Elementary or Middle school homework? The Port Washington Public Library ESOL department provides a Homework Help Program in which your child will be tutored by an academic achieving high school volunteer.

Ignite the love of coding by learning to create animations and computer games using Scratch, a graphical programming language developed by MIT.

Please join us for a twelve-session exercise class incorporating yoga, pilates and stretching. Marlene Kirsh, athletic trainer and certified pilates instructor, will lead the classes.

Learn the rules and strategies of chess and practice what you have learned by playing against your peers. For children in 3rd to 6th grade. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library in memory of Lawrence Kamisher.

Join award winning author Jane Breskin Zalben in this three-week writer’s workshop. This is a guided three-part workshop series where Zalben will help aspiring writers work on their manuscripts or help draft ideas into potential book ideas.

Learn the basics of knitting andcomplete a small beginner project, such as fingerless gloves or a scarf.  For children in 4th to 6th grade. Sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Registration required.
