Summer Reading Celebration. Join us for a reading celebration! We will be in Blumenfeld park. Join Miss Lesley for a dance party at 10:30. Come and play games, get some books, visit the NLS Bus, and sign-up for the summer reading clubs.

Adult Activity Center - Journaling Program

Come join us for Mahjong.  The Library has two Mahjong sets for up to 8 people to play.

Route 25A runs from the very western part of Long Island in Queens all the way to its terminus in Calverton.

This 5-week course explores the basics of using your smartphone’s digital camera. You will learn how to take pictures, where they are stored on your device, and how to delete them.

Drop in and play a game of Scrabble. No registration required.

Book discussion for children entering 3rd & 4th grade in the fall. Books will be available at the time of registration. Kids should pick up their book and complete reading by July 5. Registration required.

Learn the rules and strategies of chess and practice what you have learned by playing against your peers. For children in entering 3rd to 6th grade in the fall. Registration required.

Come in and play a variety of board and card games.

Join us for an informal discussion that aims to build community with intelligent discussion, laughter, and social interaction.  The group will be led by Lilyan Strassman, LCSW-R, Psychotherapist, and Life Coach.  Ms.

Mysteries, puzzles, ciphers, and more! Work together to solve an escape room and other fun puzzles. Then learn how you can make an escape room at home for your friends and family to solve. For children entering 4th to 6th grade in the fall.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, this event has been changed to a Zoom only event.  We will be broadcasting a livestream of the event in the Lapham Meeting Room for those who want to watch the Zoom meet

Dr. Laury Magnus will discuss how Shakespeare's play "Hamlet" has been adapted to film, with illustrative filmclips.
