SoundSwap: Pianist Extraordinaire David Bennett Cohen Performs!

David Bennett Cohen has been delighting Port Washington Public Library audiences since he first appeared here in 2009. He calls his SoundSwap performances "...the most enjoyable gigs any musician can hope to have. I love the space, the crew, the piano, and especially the people who come to hear me play. I feed off of the energy that I get from the folks who come to see me, and it brings out my best performances".

Mr. Cohen's career in blues, folk and boogie-woogie began over five decades ago as a member of Country Joe and the Fish. He was also a member of The Blues Project, and has played with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Mick Taylor, Richard Thompson, Jerry Garcia and Huey Lewis. Cohen has also released a number of instructional videos for piano and guitar.
