After a daring dive into the local swimming hole, teenager Nate (Charlie Rowe) suffers a near-fatal illness and is left a quadriplegic. His future looks dim until his mother, Claire (Marcia Gay Hardin), brings home Gigi, a capuchin monkey trained as a service animal. David Hudgins scripted this moving docudrama, which was produced & directed by Nick Hamm and co-produced by Nick's brother, Jon Hamm.
