The Empire Safety Council Defensive Driving Course will be offered on Saturday, August 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Kids will be guided to stretch and move their bodies through various stories. Focus will be placed on mindfulness and a mind/body connection to improve self regulation.

ESOL Low Intermediate Class with Rachel

Please join us for a series of exercise classes incorporating yoga, Pilates and stretching. Marlene Kirsh, athletic trainer and certified Pilates instructor, will lead the sessions. Open to Port Washington residents free of charge.

ESOL Beginner Class with John

Learn the rules and strategies of chess and practice what you have learned by playing against your peers. For children in entering 3rd to 6th grade in the fall. Registration required.

Bring your embroidery, crochet, quilting, or sewing project to this weekly gathering. Share ideas with fellow crafters, and get inspired from our collection of pattern and instruction books, generously provided by the Friends of the Library.

Come into the library and create your own design for tote bags using the Cricut Maker 3 and Heat Press! This is a great way to learn more about the Cricut and enjoy some crafting. This is a “bring your own device” program.

SoundSwap: 'Shindig!' Live Musical Performance

In this class, kids will experiment with various materials, including cutouts, magazines, home photos, and found objects to create personalized artwork.

As part of our summer reading theme, "The Adventure Begins in Your Library," we have been enjoying films about pirates and adventures out at sea.  We take a different spin on this theme with tonight's film screening of Pirate Radio (
