After timid milkman Burleigh Sullivan (Mr. Kaye) knocks unconscious a boxing champion who was accosting his sister, he decides to take up boxing himself in order to impress nightclub singer Polly Pringle (Virginia Mayo). Vera-Ellen, Steve Cochran, Eve Arden and Lionel Stander co-star in Norman Z. MacLeod's musical comedy.
