As part of the Library's celebration of Women's History Month, Tanisha Mitchell will join us again to take a closer look at Leontyne Price, who is highly regarded as one of the greatest operatic sopranos of all time. Tanisha will explore her humble beginnings and her rise to stardom. In addition, Tanisha will include a special live performance of an aria. Named a "Mover and Shaker" by Library Journal, Tanisha Mitchell is best known for her innovative work in the arts at the Metropolitan Opera and the Freeport Memorial Library.
