Port Washington is fortunate to have many public and private natural areas that not only add to the beauty of our community, but also protect the health of all living things, including ourselves.  Learn what the stewards of our natural preserves are doing to help preserve and protect these essential parts of our community.   The Port Washington Coalition for Biodiversity unites local organizations that safeguard the majority of Port Washington’s wilderness. A distinguished group of panelists from the Science Museum of Long Island, Hempstead Harbor Woods, and Sands Point Preserve discuss their current work and actionable strategies that can help maintain or increase biodiversity and mitigate the effects of climate change to build a more resilient Port Washington.   Sponsored by Transition Town Port Washington.
