Program Description

Event Details

Part Four of the Five-Part series further develops the skills required for growing and then harvesting food at home. Topics will include suggested remedies to most common pests and diseases. (The series will conclude on March 15th)

This 5 part series will be presented by Master Gardeners from Nassau County Cornell Cooperative Extension and Plant A Row for the Hungry Port Washington. Home Gardening is more critical than ever. During this pandemic, fresh produce has been very difficult to obtain – supermarket shelves emptied as soon as they were filled. Even if you never gardened before, growing your own vegetables successfully is possible, once you know the basics. Join us for this important 5-part series in February and March, preparing you to grow your own delicious vegetables and herbs. All sessions have time for Q & A.
