Event Details
Long Island’s own trio of original rock artists, Velvet Mills, return for a SoundSwap performance that guarantees a "sought after, profound musical experience." The band offers up a dynamic mix of eclectic songs, performed raw and real. Guitarist and lead vocalist, Stephen Goldberg makes the most of melody either with his words or through his introspective, experimental soloing. On bass, multi-instrumentalist Tony Sion lays down a groove like no other. Tony is known for playing bass lines that go beyond the typical and into the flavorful. Rounding out the trio is Brian Currie, whose “more is more” approach to playing drums gives Velvet Mills its attitude. Three passionate characters playing songs unlike any you’ve heard before make Velvet Mills a band to see. Don’t miss out on this "loud and proud" performance!
The day's event will open with a set from Barry Waller and Tony Traguardo; the acoustic duo 'Almost Famous'.
This program is made possible by the Friends of the Port Washington Public Library.
