Event Details

Coldplay's first album 'Parachutes,' released in 2000, featured such hits as "Yellow," and "Trouble," and it quickly led to the group reaching superstar status worldwide, with fans that spanned generations. Sparks is a Long Island based four-piece ensemble that captures the intricate musical textures and nuances of Coldplay’s diverse repertoire, from their intimate songs such as "Spies," "Trouble," and "Scientist" to their big tunes like "Magic," "Adventure of a Lifetime," and "Speed of Sound." The members of Sparks have performed with some of the top Long Island and tri-state area bands, including the CSNY tribute band 4-Way Street. They are seasoned musicians who share a common love of and dedication to the beautiful music of Coldplay. Join us for a great afternoon of music at the Sousa Band Shell at Sunset Park, as the library's SoundSwap series presents Sparks.

This program is made possible by the Friends of the Port Washington Public Library.
