SoundSwap Presents: JOHN FORD OF THE STRAWBS IN CONCERT! - Live at Lapham

John Ford of the Strawbs returns to the PWPL on Friday, February 17th for a special SoundSwap performance live in the Lapham Room. The set will feature songs from the Strawbs' hit albums Grave New World and Bursting At The Seams. Settlement, recorded during the lockdown in 2020, is the band's most recent album release to enter the British charts. John Ford and his band will also be performing songs from his latest solo release, Life In A Foreign Town. As a member of the Strawbs, Ford co wrote the band's chart topper, "Part Of The Union," and he also charted in the 70s with the Hudson Ford’s hits, "Pick Up The Pieces," "Burn Baby Burn," and "Floating In The Wind."  Ford was also a member of The Monks, whose Bad Habits album attained double platinum status in Canada. The John Ford Band also performed at the Strawbs' three day 50th anniversary event in 2019 at the Strand Theater in New Jersey, where the Grave New World also was performed in its entirety for the first time.
