November Noir Kickoff Film

Starting in 2004, we have programmed numerous classic crime films in the month of November. This month’s set begins with Robert Siodmak’s Phantom Lady (1944-87 min.). Scott Henderson (Alan Curtis), an unhappily married civil engineer, spends an evening on a no-names basis with a woman he picks up at a bar. He later returns home to find his own wife strangled. Can Scott’s faithful assistant Carol Richman (Ella Raines) find the phantom lady before before he must sit in the electric chair? Screenwriter Bernard C.
