Are you interested in learning ways to help provide yourself with a healthier life? Did you know…
-    Laughter can stimulate organs, improve immunity, release tension, relieve pain, improve your mood, and increase overall personal satisfaction.
-    Breathing done properly can release over 70% of the toxins in your blood stream, increase energy, improve digestion, and reduce pain.
-    There is a point between your thumb and first finger that can help a frontal headache.
-    Qigong exercises strengthen the immune and respiratory system, relieve chronic pain, reduce anxiety and depression, and lower blood pressure while improving and maintaining overall health and well-being.
-    Reiki can help you to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as provide relaxation and reduce pain.
-    Meditation reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the immune system, helps to regulate mood, and manage stress, anxiety, depression, and addiction. It also improves memory and aids in sleep while increasing self-awareness.

Come join Winifred Boyd, Lisc. Acupuncturist MS, Reiki Master, and Reference Librarian for two inter-active 90-minute lectures on methods for helping yourself to be both healthier and happier. At each session you will be able to participate in and experience some of these practices. Please wear loose clothing and bring water to drink. A towel or yoga mat is suggested but optional. Registration for the September event will begin on September 1 and registration for the October 10 event begins on September 26. Made possible by the Health Advisory Council.
