The Huntington Arts Council administers the Decentralization Regrant Program to Nassau and Suffolk County artists and nonprofit arts organizations. The program was started in 1977 and was formed to warrant that funding for the arts reaches every part of New York State. This program supports a variety of categories in the hopes of keeping the arts alive and well in our communities. Those categories are, Creative Communities, Creative Learning, and Creative Individual; each category must include a community component.
Those interested in applying for this program must attend a free informational and mandatory grants workshop. These workshops will be held in various locations, including Port Washington Public Library Monday, August 12 at 6 p.m.. Please see the remaining dates, times and locations listed below or on their website (www.huntingtonarts.org). This year’s applications will be due on Friday, September 20th at 4 PM.
