Join local Port Washington resident Eddie Lennon as he discusses his debut novel, My Friend Gus, which is the tale of an unlikely friendship between two people who need it more than they know. Pete McCarthy, a recent college graduate who should be ready to take on the world but feels depressed and alone. Gus Sanford is a longtime widower and a retired stuntman, who now  lives a very simple life on Long Island in the same town as Pete. Now in his 80s, he struggles with loneliness and poor health.  Gus and Pete strike up an unexpected friendship, but don't realize how much they count on each other until life tests them both.
