The Friends of the Library’s FOL University scholarly lecture program returns with Moshe Gold, Associate Professor of English at Fordham University, speaking on the early stories of Ernest Hemingway, at 1:30 p.m., and Andrew Delbanco, Alexander Hamilton Professor of American Studies at Columbia University, speaking on his latest book, “The War Before the War,” about fugitive slaves in the period leading into the Civil War, at 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
