Growing your own herbs and vegetables is not only possible but very rewarding - emotionally, financially and nutritionally. Join us for this exciting 5-part series, which will get you started and teach you where to find the reliable information you need to be successful. Part 2 of 5: This session will explore soil requirements, plant location, water, temperature, and light. We introduce the need for planning your garden design and provide lots of questions to think about. New Content for 2022: What do Native Plants have to do with all this? Exploring the role of pollinators and how to incorporate their needs into your garden.

Each session will be led by a Master Gardener volunteer from the Nassau County Cornell Cooperative Extension, and is co-sponsored by Plant-A-Row for the Hungry Port Washington. This program series is appropriate for people at all knowledge levels. Every session has time for Q & A. These programs will not be recorded.

Please note registration is required for those wishing to attend this virtual series on Zoom. You can register once and can attend any of the meetings.
