Growing your own herbs and vegetables is not only possible but very rewarding - emotionally, financially and nutritionally. Join us for this exciting 5-part series, which will get you started and teach you where to find the reliable information you need to be successful. Part 4 of 5: This session investigates methods for helping protect your plants from pests and disease. Some common remedies and minimally harmful techniques to reduce problems will be proposed, starting with prevention. New Content for 2022: Where to turn for help.

Each session will be led by a Master Gardener volunteer from the Nassau County Cornell Cooperative Extension, and is co-sponsored by Plant-A-Row for the Hungry Port Washington. This program series is appropriate for people at all knowledge levels. Every session has time for Q & A. These programs will not be recorded.
