(2009-93 min.). In 1974, the most celebrated American R&B acts of their time came together with the most renowned musical groups in Southern Africa for a three-night concert held in Kinshasa, Zaire. The festival was linked to the “Rumble in the Jungle,” that epic boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Jeffrey Levy-Hinte’s documentary includes performances by James Brown, Celia Cruz, B.B. King, Miriam Makeba, The Spinners and Bill Withers.
