Join us for an afternoon of family fun with a special screening of the original “The Lorax” (1973 - 25 min.) followed by face-painting and a healthy cooking demonstration with Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti. In Dr. Seuss’ classic tale, the Lorax, who speaks for the trees, has a message to share that is perhaps even more important today, as when it was first published. This important and inspiring children’s story illustrates the dangers of un-restrained growth and the importance of individual action to make a difference. This event is co-sponsored by Transition Town Port Washington.
