PWPL is proud to partner with the Town of North Hempstead to co-host this off-site event at the Senior Center in Manorhaven at 80 Manorhaven Blvd. This event offers three key components all related to helping you keep your information secure:

PWPL Tech Kiosk
The PWPL Tech Kiosk will offer you an opportunity to ask questions about tech security and demonstrate some quick and easy ways to protect your digital privacy online.

Recycling Scrap Metal and Electronic Waste Materials
Arrow Scrap Corp. is a full-service recycler of all scrap metal and electronic waste materials. They are R2/RIOS certified, and fully NYSDEC and EPA compliant. They are also a NAID member, which holds us to the highest standards of handling and processing data-sensitive devices (such as hard drives, etc.). All materials collected are processed at their Holbrook facility, and handled in the most environmentally friendly manner, as per strict NYS regulations. Here's a list of items patrons can bring, and ones not accepted at this event:

Arrow Scrap will accept all of the following for recycling:
Computers, LCD monitors, printers, fax machines and any and all computer peripheral equipment. They accept hard drives, laptops, any and all computer components, as well as cell phones, tablet devices and any other consumer electronics equipment. We accept all types of wires, old adapters, lead acid batteries, rechargeable li-ion batteries (ie. old car batteries) as well as general scrap metal (copper, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, small appliances) and car parts.

Arrow Scrap cannot accept the following for recycling:
They do not accept any alkaline batteries (ie. Duracell, Energizer), NiCd and NiMH batteries, any mercury containing devices, old CRT monitors, any old tube televisions and/or flat screen televisions of any kind. They do not accept closed tanks of any kind, or anything with oil, fuel or freon as well as any paper, rubbish, garbage, paint, bio-hazardous, medical or general waste.
