Director's Cut: "Rudo y Cursi"

Film expert John Bosco will screen and discuss "Rudo y Cursi" (2008-103 min.). Director Carlos Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien) also scripted this story about Mexican half brothers Beto (Diego Luna) and Tato (Gael Garcia Bernal), better known by their nicknames Rudo (“rough”) and Cursi (“corny”), respectively. The boys live a hard life on a banana plantation, until the intervention of scout Batuta (Guillermo Franella), who enables them to pursue their dream of playing professional soccer.
