Event Details
When so much in Washington and elsewhere seems broken or dysfunctional, what can everyday citizens do about it? Before voting, every citizen has a responsibility to be accurately informed about the issues; such as what is behind the high cost of health care and housing or what are the main drivers behind the federal budget deficit. Are there election reforms that can be made to improve the health of our democracy? Join Rick Leeds, who is an independent policy researcher, as he moderates a non-partisan, fact-based discussion about process and policy issues facing our country.
The goal of this program is to empower citizens with accurate and up to date information. This first session will explore what is behind the high cost of health care and why and how it is the primary long-term driver of inflation. All political persuasions are welcome. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
