Program Description

Event Details

A panel of Broadway and Off-Broadway experts will discuss the current state of American theater, including an insider's perspective on how the industry operates, as well as how the pandemic has affected the theater industry across the country and especially on Broadway. The panel will be moderated by Mitch Weiss, co-author of The Business of Broadway who has managed Tony Award winners A Chorus Line, The Grapes of Wrath, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, and dozens more.

Panelists will include Dona D. Vaughn, who is currently a director of operas around the world; Harrison Lee who is a Broadway actor and dancer; and Perri Gaffney who is an actress, playwright and co-author of The Business of Broadway.  They will provide an insider's perspective and share stories about other Broadway productions including Hamilton, Wicked, Lion King, and more. There will be ample time to ask the panel any questions you may have about Broadway and American Theater.

Copies of The Business of Broadway as well as Perri Gaffney's The Resurrection of Alice will be available for purchase and signing.

(Sponsored by the Friends of the Library)
