Event Details
Whether as a member of The Monkees, the founder of The First National Band, or as a solo artist, Michael Nesmith's genre-crossing music was always unique and exceptional. In this special tribute SoundSwap event, Long Island musicians Barry Waller and Tony Traguardo (aka "Rough Around the Edges") will perform songs that were either written or performed by the incomparable 'Papa Nez', who passed away on December 10, 2021. Tony will also tell stories behind some of the songs during a musical evening that promises to be both fun and poignant.
The room capacity for this 'Live At Lapham' SoundSwap event has been reduced to fifty attendees including talent and staff. Priority seating for 'Live at Lapham' is being given to Port Washington residents You must enter the first five digits of your library card to access the registration page. Doors will open at 7:15pm. If possible please arrive 15 minutes before the doors open. Your name will appear on our reservation list, and you will be checked in at the entrance to the library's Lapham Auditorium.
