Chair Yoga classes with certified instructor Beth Lipset. Free to Port Washington residents. Classes start January 26 and run through June 1 (no class on February 16, April 6, and May 11, 25).

Discover coding through Python—a beginner-friendly, professional programming language used for data science, AI, web development, and more. Students learn the fundamentals through short, focused lessons and lots of hands-on practice.

Spanish Book Club

Chair Yoga classes with certified instructor Beth Lipset. Free to Port Washington residents. Classes start January 26 and run through June 1 (no class on February 16, April 6, and May 11, 25). 

Move through poses to increase flexibility, balance, strength, and range of motion. Marlene Kirsh, athletic trainer, and certified Pilates instructor, will lead the sessions. Chairs will be available if needed. 

Ever wonder what the difference is between an MP3 and a FLAC file, or why "bit rates" actually matter? PWPL Librarian Tony Traguardo will guide you on a deep dive into the 'DNA' of digital sound.

Drop in and play a game of Scrabble. No registration required.

This program will guide you through the knowledge and support to best use your iPhone or Android device as well as providing examples of different app uses and potential next steps for your tech.

Decorate and label your garden using the Cricut Maker 3.

Crafts will be supplied to create a unique Mother's Day gift which you can give to your loved one. Gift bags and gift paper will also be provided for added decoration. 

May the fourth be with you! In this class you will use Canva to create a Star Wars design, that will then be sublimated onto a small puzzle.

Elementary or Middle School Homework Help

The Port Washington Public Library ESOL Department offers a Homework Help Program where high-achieving high school volunteers tutor students.

For children in grades K-6.

May 5th is celebrated as Children's Day in Korea and Japan.

Grades 2 to 6

Create flowers using pipe cleaners for yourself or someone special! Register April 20. 

Make monarch butterflies using the Cricut Maker 3. 

All abilities are welcome, but we do ask that participants under the age of 11 be accompanied by an adult. All supplies will be provided. 

For grades K-2

Ages K and older with an adult 

A series of exercise classes incorporating yoga, Pilates, and stretching. Marlene Kirsh, athletic trainer and certified Pilates instructor, will lead the sessions. Open to Port Washington residents free of charge.

Teen is grades 7-12 are invited to join us and play LEGO Star Wars Switch games to celebrate May the 4th.

Bring your own material and ask for one on one time with a librarian to help you use the equipment in The Lab. Everyone is welcome in the Lab, those who are 11 or younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Registration begins April 20th.

Bring your embroidery, crochet, quilting, or sewing project to this weekly gathering. Share ideas with fellow crafters, and get inspired from our collection of pattern and instruction books, generously provided by the Friends of the Library.
