The Representational & The Abstract in Contemporary Art: Frank Bowling, Jackson Pollock & David Hockney

Join Professor Val Franco today for a look at the work of English painter Frank Bowling, an incredible Abstract Expressionist born in Guyana, who came up along the art world's ranks with David Hockney, and was creating at the same time as American artist Jackson Pollock. Bowling had quite a struggle and faced a very different reception in the early part of his career as compared to his British born contemporaries. We'll look at the life and work of all three of these artists in relation to each other.
