As part of the Library's celebration of Black History Month, join award-winning musician and educator Napoleon Revels-Bey as he explores the wonderful world of Jazz music. Jazz is recognized as an original form of musical expression that originated in New Orleans in the late 19th and early 20th century inspired by the African-American experience with roots in the blues and ragtime. Join Napoleon as he explores the lives of artists such as Bessie Smith, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.
