Bill Bleyer, who is a former prize-winning staff writer with Newsday, will discuss his latest book, Long Island and the Sea: A Maritime History." His talk will include aspects such as the development of torpedoes and submarines in the waterways of Long Island, as well as the Pan Am Clipper flights that flew from the waters off of Port Washington.
