In 1947, American ephemera collector, Jefferson R. Burdick, donated 30,000 baseball cards to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He spent 15 years cataloguing them and today the baseball cards collected by Burdick represent the most comprehensive public collection outside of the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Hear the story of this amazing collector and the history of the American baseball card from museum educator, Alice W. Schwarz.
