Part One - Starting Seeds, Indoors and Out.

Not all vegetables have enough time to mature here on Long Island - some seeds need to be started ahead of the growing season. Traditional indoor techniques require lots of equipment, but outdoor techniques require almost none! Learn what seeds need to be started early, and how to do it in a way that fits your time, budget and energy. Bonus – How to grow sprouts and microgreens.

(Please note - This video will only be available for a limited time)

Each session is led by longtime vegetable gardener Bea Helft, who is a Board Member of Plant a Row for the Hungry Port Washington. This series is appropriate for people at all knowledge levels. This series is sponsored by Plant a Row for the Hungry Port Washington. (Recorded on 2/28/23)
