Professional actor, director, and producer, Bob Spiotto, performs an original one man show celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy in America - John Michael Marino Lodge #1389. This specially commissioned show conceived, written & performed by Bob Spiotto, celebrates the life of Port Washington’s own, Private John Michael Marino, who fought heroically in World War I, giving his life for his country in 1918, at the age of 23, less that forty-eight hours before the signing of the Armistice.  He was the first Italian-American from Port Washington to die in WWI.  The memory of John Michael Marino is celebrated in music and spoken word.

This event is made possible through the OSDIA John Michael Marino Lodge #1389 and the John Michael Marino Foundation, both located here in Port Washington.  The JMM Foundation supports many local charities and educational programs, provides scholarships for local students and works to support educational and cultural programs that will foster an awareness of Italian-American heritage.
