Toast the Holiday season with vocalist Kate Beckman and musical director Eric Baum, as they present 'The Gift of Music' at The Port Washington Public Library. Kate and Eric have worked together for over twenty years, and their most recent cabaret set celebrates family, friends, home, good food, optimism, and of course, music. The set includes songs from West Side Story, South Pacific, The Wiz, and Into the Woods, as well as classics written by Frank Loesser, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern like "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "I Wish I Didn’t Love You So". Combine that with surprises from the Great American Songbook the swing era and this Holiday Gift of Music has something for everyone. Kate returns to the Port Washington Public Library having performed a variety of seasonal programs over the last couple of years. She also directed a chamber music production of the late Pamela Meadow’s Fair Liberty’s Call.
