Video Premiere: 'Tony T's Tune Talk': Episode 17 - The Power of Power Pop! (pt. 1)

The Beatles made some. The Monkees made some. Even Alice Cooper and KISS have made some. And most folks would say that The Knack made a lot of it! What is 'it'? I't's music that fits into a genre called 'Power Pop'! And how is power pop defined? Well ... trying to find an exact definition of power pop that all music scholars agree on is something akin to asking ten of your friends what the best flavor of ice cream is! But on this episode of 'Tony T's Tune Talk', the Port Washington Public Library's resident musicologist tries to offer some insight into what 'power pop' is, and talks about a few of the great bands of the genre from the 70s and early 80s.
