What happens when the leader of a band, or maybe the group’s main songwriter is disappointed when his songs are recorded and the bandmates haven't played them exactly the way he or she heard them in their head? What about artists who have fun playing, or trying to play, a dozen different instruments? Why should they have to work within anyone else’s time schedule … like other band members? Well, these reasons and more were the motivations behind many great artists of the rock and roll era recording albums all by themselves. Join the Port Washington Public Library's resident musicologist Tony Traguardo for a 'Tony T's Tune Talk' episode that looks at a few successful instances when the artist managed to make great music as a one-man band!
