Event Details

This 5 part series will be presented by Master Gardeners from Nassau County Cornell Cooperative Extension and Plant A Row for the Hungry Port Washington. Home Gardening is more critical than ever. During this pandemic, fresh produce has been very difficult to obtain – supermarket shelves emptied as soon as they were filled. Even if you never gardened before, growing your own vegetables successfully is possible, once you know the basics. Join us for this important 5-part series in February and March, preparing you to grow your own delicious vegetables and herbs. All sessions have time for Q & A.

Part 2 of the 5 part series, Planning Your Successful Vegetable Garden, will include topics such as soil requirements, location, plant selection and layout. (The series continues on Mar. 1st, Mar. 8th and Mar. 15th)

This program is co-sponsored by Plant A Row for the Hungry Port Washington and the PWPL.
