Event Details

Professor Val Franco will screen and discuss "Lemon Tree" ("Etz Limon") (2008-106 min.). Salma Zidane (Hiam Abbass), a lonely Palestinian widow, tends her family's West Bank lemon grove. When the new Israeli Defense Minister and his wife move next door, the government demands that Salma's trees be uprooted. Director Eran Riklis scripted with Suha Arraf.
