In this time of cold weather and starting anew, join museum educator Alice W. Schwarz in a celebration and exploration of the American women’s art of quilts and coverlets. From teenage girls of the 18th century to contemporary artists Faith Ringgold and the women of Gees Bend quilts reflect history, politics, cultural backgrounds, and the important place women’s work has in the world of fine arts.
