At three prominent locations within the Met Museum where major paths intersect, new installations, drawn from diverse areas of the collection will examine the idea of cultural interconnectedness. Join museum educator, Alice W. Schwarz for the first in a series of three discussions of Crossroads, an exhibition that explores shared ideas and artistic forms from around the world. This first talk delves into the artworks featuring fantastic creatures that combine both real and imaginary animals from the Ancient Near East, Cyprus, and the Islamic region.
