Tennessee Walt - An Evening in a Distant Country
This is a Facebook Live Event that the the Library is co-hosting. Before the building closed, Tennessee Walt had been scheduled to preform live at the Library, but here's a way to enjoy his live performance from the comfort and safety of your home. Click [HERE](https://www.facebook.com/events/1641879619296666/) to join the event at 7:30 pm on July 5th or visit the Library's Facebook page.

Honoring the region's public libraries, a fun 75 minutes or so of live music—classic country, of course (songs associated with Eddy Arnold, Johnny Cash, Red Foley, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Locklin, Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Snow, Hank Thompson, Kitty Wells and Bob Wills, along with a few Walt originals)—plus audience requests and interesting anecdotes about the songs and the artists who created them. The usual Tennessee Walt experience, in short.

If you want to watch the concert: 1) Make sure the volume on your computer’s speaker is turned up. 2) Go to Facebook.com/TennesseeWalt. 3) If you get there before 7:30 p.m. and nothing happens at 7:30, click the refresh button on your computer (the clockwise arrow at the upper left corner of your screen) and, if necessary, do so every 30 seconds for a minute or so. We’ll be prompt!
