Program Description

Event Details

This workshop, presented by SCORE of Long Island, will answer some of your questions about starting a business.

Starting a business can be very exciting but you may not have the capital or resources right from the get-go. In this workshop, we'll show you how to start your business with resources that are low cost or no cost to get you started on the right foot.

This workshop will take you through the basics of starting your business but with little money. Having little money to start your business is daunting but can make you think smarter. After you exhaust your savings or other assets may be friends and relatives also believe in your idea and will help. After you prepare a simple business plan there are financial institutions that you can apply to.

Like any starting business, you’ll need to  create a compelling message so people will be interested in buying your product or service. We’ll show you how to review your competition; which legal structure is right; how to determine your best target audience; and what budget no matter what the size will get it started.

This event is part of the library's 'Career and Finance' series.
