Local Manhasset-based band Snapper Head returns to the Sousa Bandshell at Sunset Park at the Town Dock for a very special musical event. The set list will be comprised songs performed by the interconnected ‘musical family’ of Derek and the Dominoes, The Allman Brothers, George Harrison, Delaney and Bonnie and Traffic.

Originally intended to be review of the 1970 album ‘Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs’, by Derek and the Dominos. It was during the assembly of the band's set list we realized that the musicians that came together on this record are some most influential in the history of rock n roll.

The musical line-up of Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Duane Allman, Bobby Whitlock, Jim Gordon, Dave Mason & Carl Radle went on to play on several hit records of the generation, most notable George Harrison’s, 1971 “All things Must Pass”. So instead of performing one album, Snapper Head decided to take us back to 1970 & '71 to present a collection of songs from the musicians that brought us 'Layla'.
