Join the Port Washington Public Library's resident musicologist Tony Traguardo for a unique, genre-hopping journey through the best, the worst and most influential images that have been used on long-playing album covers since the medium came became popular in the 1950s. Artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Pink Floyd have used the art on their album covers to reflect the mood and concepts behind the music contained within. The works featured on these albums will be discussed, along with a look at some of the medium's most important artists.
