To celebrate the New Year, the Round Table topics for this month will focus on famous 'firsts'. The career of every great recording artist has to start somewhere. In many instances, particularly before the year 2000, it all began with the release of a 'single'. At tonight's SoundSwap Round Table, Port Washington Public Library's resident musicologist Tony Traguardo looks at some rock and roll 'origins', and the the stories behind some of rock and roll's great debut singles.
